I got my roommate's boyfriend's flu. Yup, aches, chills, vomiting. Pleasant, I know. It's not so much the being sick that bothers me, it's the being home trying to heal that kills me. There's only so much you can do when sharp pains are sent through your body every time you move. So here's what I've learned are about the ONLY things you can do when you're home sick (the list made much longer if you have any pets):
1)Get acquainted with your daytime television schedule. This includes a lot of bad soaps, PSA's, infomercials (I gotta get that Magic Bullet...).
2)Remember the last time you DIDN'T have an appetite (UC food was pretty nasty).
3)Feel useless as you scream at your cat to stop eating a cord...but not be able to move as quickly due to soreness.
4) Take a looooooooooong hot bath and get lost in the scent of lavender oil...until your roomie and her boyfriend start partaking in Organic Leisure.
5)Watch Mythbusters, AFV, Dane Cook, and Karl Rove clips on YouTube till you pass out...again.
6)Laugh at your cat when he comes to the realization that bath towels don't fight back.
7)Finally, relish in the fact that you have your apartment to yourself...no boyfriends, no dogs, no incense. Just me, the cat, and my small collection of DVD's.

This list is better than "moan and feel sorry for yourself all day." Nice work.
as for daytime tv, i recommend court TV shows. Judge Maria Lopez is my favorite!
